Hi Natasha , tell us what you do and a little about your family and background as a work at home mum!
I'm Natasha, I live in Fleet, North Hampshire and am mum to two little ones and two fur babies. I set up Write My Name as I was helping my three year old daughter learn to write her name but couldn't find what I needed. It then occurred to me that if I needed this framework that other parents may also need it. I sharpened up my designs and began the business with a download. I realised then as well that not everyone would have a printer or if you're like me, printers generally refuse to work. I set about exploring wipe clean options. I've now developed a personalised, printed, wipe clean workbook so that a child can write their very own name and practise time and again. There will be two versions available, manuscript and cursive.
My favourite part of this business has been watching my daughter develop, not just from the actual benefits of her workbook but also of her respecting my work ethic. I can see she is immensely proud and when I've been working at the table she'll pull up a chair with her notebooks, workbook and pens and will sit and work with me.
What advice would you give to your 21 year old self?
To not be afraid of failure. To embrace every opportunity and to not to be constrained by other’s structures.
Can you give us 3 tips for juggling motherhood, life and business?
Be organised – there are lots of demands on you as a mother and even more so in business
Be flexible – when things don’t go as you plan, change the plan
Be ruthless – if something isn’t working and you’re not enjoying it, fix it, remove it, change your situation, time is too precious
Tell us something no one ever warned you about being a work at home mama!
That your head can be lonely but an even busier place than working in an office. You have your own focus, priorities, attention and your own challenges to manage by yourself.
What is the best thing about being a WAHM?
Being able to get to my children quickly and to change my day if needs be to fit in appointments.
Can you discuss something you are working on right now to improve your work/life balance?
Chunking. Taking the time to allocate set hours to each project in my life (I run two businesses and just taken on a part-time work from home position).
The best advice anyone ever gave you?
Stop planning and start doing!
What WAHM has inspired you lately?
Effie Moss – She is focused in her approach and has the kind of drive that I identify with.
What are you reading right now?
Carrie Green – She Means Business

How do you practice regular self care?
This is an area I’m not very good at but I want to get better. I try to remember to take my vitamins and to try to get out once a week for a run (because when I run once its easier to get out 2-3 more times during the week).
